Getting the proper amount of rest is so important these days. Quality rest can come in a variety of forms: a good night’s sleep, pampering yourself, going away on vacation, or having a set time of meditation. All these forms of rest are significant. Rest of the body is just as important as resting the mind, and depending on the kind of person you are will determine which type of rest you’re in need of the most. I tend to need to rest my mind most days, so here’s what helped me achieve a daily vacation right from the comfort of my very own work desk.
Throughout the month of March, I took 15 minutes of the day and devoted it to take an essential oil of my choice, place a few drops into the palms of my hand, cup my hands over my nose and breathe deeply. What I found from doing this is not only did my mind relax, but whole body began to unwind! I’ve come a long way in my health and wellness journey and was able to observe bodily differences between how I used to handle stress compared to using this daily relaxation technique.
I welcome you to try this out for yourself. However, you need to realize that not all essential oils are created as pure, therapeutic grade oils. If I would have tried to perform that same simple technique with store bought oils, I would have been doing more harm than good because store bought oils from many oil companies contain contaminants in them, and an adulterated oil will never be able to produce a therapeutic result… ever!
